Shedding the Old, Embracing Growth

12/30/2025

You know how lobsters grow? They don’t stretch their shells–they outgrow them. And when the old shell gets too tight, it begins to pinch and restrict; that isn’t failure. It’s a signal: it’s time to grow.

Lobsters find a safe place, shed what no longer fits, and begin building something new. For a while, they are soft, exposed, vulnerable, but it’s in that period of rebuilding that real growth happens.

This past year felt a lot like that under-the-rock moment. It was uncomfortable. Uncertain. Challenging. But we didn’t freeze. We didn’t hide. Instead, we embraced the discomfort, reexamined what we do, and rebuilt from the inside out.

And now, a new shell is forming–stronger, sharper, built for what’s next. We’ve taken the pressure, trusted the process, and let it shape us into something more resilient, capable, and ready to tackle the future.

We chose growth. We embraced the challenge. And we’re just getting started.

This year was about evolution, not perfection. And as we step forward, we do so with confidence, curiosity, and the knowledge that the best growth comes when we allow ourselves to be a little exposed and extremely bold.
